what you'll build

    a sealed little ecosystem that rains on itself. months between care, with a live cleanup crew keeping it balanced. needs medium to bright light.

how it works

  • 1. pick your date

    grab a seat for whatever class fits your week. weekends fill first.

  • 2. bring your people

    come solo, as a pair, or with a group — we'll seat everyone together. byob, and wine glasses are on us.

  • 3. show up and build

    come 5–10 minutes early. we walk everyone through it, then you go at your own pace.

  • 4. take it home

    leave 90 minutes later with something you made. we handle the cleanup.

questions?

how long is a class?

about 90 minutes, start to finish. come 5-10 minutes early to grab your seat and pour a drink

is it byob?

yes — wine glasses are on us. your hands stay busy the whole time, so you don't need much beyond a drink. a light snack is fine; we just ask you skip the full platters, since table space stays busy

do i need any experience?

none at all. most people walk in having never built one. we walk everyone through it step by step, then you go at your own pace with us floating around to help

can kids come?

yes — kids do great with a grown-up alongside them or on their own. if a parent and child share one terrarium, that's one seat. byob is for adults 21+.

where do we park?

we're at 46 east main street, suite 103, in downtown somerville. there's a free garage right nearby

what if i need to reschedule?

reschedule yourself up to 48 hours before class, or cancel up to 72 hours before, right from your confirmation email. questions? we're at events@spottedleaf.co
